Early C19 house. Stuccoed front. Low-pitched hipped slate roof with wide eaves.
2 storeys. 1st floor 4 casements with horizontal glazing bars and shaped blind
covers. Ground floor 2 French windows with horizontal glazing bars and central
glazed and panelled door, and verandah across front with tent-shaped glass roof.

The Cottage, St Michael's, Ankerdine House,Rutland Lodge and South Parade House
with gate piers north west form a group.
