Lodge. Circa 1881-83, for J J Jones of Abberley Hall (qv). Red brick
with timber-frame to upper part; plain tiled roof with overhanging eaves,
clustered central brick stack. In a Tudor style and irregular on plan with
an octagonal tower at the north-west corner. 2 storeys and single bay to
each part of the elevation: single, 2- and 3-light casements in ovolo
moulded brick surrounds and with mullions on ground floor and in timber
on first floor; corner window at south-west corner. Segmental headed
doorway set in lean-to porch in re-entrant angle. The tower has 3 windows,
decorative panelling to the upper part and a tall octagonal roof with a
small window in a swept-out dormer.
