Turnpike cottage or toll house. Early C19. Painted brick and rubble, slate
roof, hipped towards road, rendered brick stack. 2 storeys with single window
to each elevation; Gothick Y-tracery windows to end elevation which is canted
on plan and framed by pilaster strips and a plain cornice band. Central C20
glazed door and porch with blind window above.
