Farmhouse. C17 central range, later additions to north dated I.B. 1830,
to south east dated I.B. 1838 and (probably contemporary) further early
C19 additions to south, added porch dated C.P.M. 1938; altered C20. Timber-
framed central range, painted brick infill on sandstone plinth, later painted
brick additions; Flemish stretcher bond with dentilled eaves cornice, tiled
roofs. Central straight range of 2 framed bays aligned east-west. Early C19
wing projects to north at rear of west end and second wing projects to south
from east end, further additions toward east of south wing include former
stable with granary over, now part of house, added porch in angle with south
wing, large axial stack left of centre to main range, later stack to west
gable, base of former bread oven projects at rear of central range. Single
storey with attic, C20 fenestration, attic to main elevation lit by 3 gabled
dormers with 2- and 3-light casements, two 3-light casements and single light
windows to ground floor. Lean-to porch to right with C20 ledgeddoor, south
wing to right has second entry with resited heavy ledged door, 3-light window
with cambered head. Framing: altered, 3 panels from sill to wall-plate with
angle bracing in top panel to main posts, brick gable end. Interior: large
altered fireplace, oak panelled internal door with linenfold panels to main
sitting room at east end. Birmingham Fire Insurance plaque to west gable
end.
