Retaining wall around north-east and south-east sides of the castle. 1870s
by G E Fox. Rock faced rubble wall on a battered plinth. Approximately
5 - 8 m high with an embattled parapet. The junction of the 2 sides is marked
by 2 large and a small projecting bastion.
