Farmhouse. Probably an open hall house which had a floor inserted soon
after construction. Late medieval, altered C16 - C17. Timber-frame,
painted brick infil and plain tiled roof. T-plan with cross-wing at
left. Single storey and attics in gabled dormers, 2 storeys to cross-
wing. 3 windows plus one in wing, all C20 2-light cross and casements.
C20 door to left, in an open timber porch. Projecting stack at left
of cross-wing. Adjoining the right gable of the house is an in situ cider
mill. Interior: central ground floor room has an exposed frame with
traces of painted decoration - inscription and shields with initials "AM"
and wide stop-chamfered beams.
