School and school house, now a house and store. Mid-C19. Rubble, freestone
quoins and dressings, slate roof, brick and rubble stacks with octagonal pots.
Irregular L-plan with the school rooms at the right and in a plain Gothic
style. The school house is single storey and attics in 2 dormers enriched
with cusped bargeboards. Two 3-light windows in chamfered mullions and
surrounds. Central C20 door and porch. The school rooms project as a
gabled wing at the right and on the gable end. 3-light mullion and transom
windows with cinquefoil heads to the tracery. Decorative bargeboards and
some decorative ridge tiles. Gabled projecting porch in the angle of
the school rooms: chamfered doorway with 4-centred head. At the junction
of the 2 parts is a spikey Gothic style bell turret under a lead spire.
