5/6 Yew Tree Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Probably late C18 - early C19. Brick, stone dressings, hipped
slate roof and end stacks. Three storeys and three bays. Glazing bar sashes
under stone lintols with dropped keystones, central 6-panelled door and fan-
light beneath c1900 lead canopy; dentilled brick eaves cornice; early C20 brick
lean-to on left hand side with a small one-light casement. Two-storey contemporary
extension to right, also with dentilled brick eaves cornice was the ciderhouse;
another similar extension to the rear left is the dairy. An unusually com-
plete example of a late C18 - early C19 brick farmhouse.
