about 15 yards north of
Brook Farmhouse

GV II

Smithy and boiler house forming, with stables and tack room to east, the
south side of farmstead complex. Circa 1866. Brick, tiled roofs, end stacks
and side stack to south. Rectangular plan aligned east/west. One storey.
North elevation to farmyard: one semi-circular headed window opening either
side of round-headed door to right of centre; 6-pane sliding sash to left hand
side near to door into slightly lower boiler house with single-pitched roof
sloping towards the south. Part of a model farmstead complex adjoining Brook
Farmhouse (qv), reputedly built by the Eastnor Estate. Included for group
value as a complete example.
