8/33 Bodenham Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Probably late C18. Painted brick, hipped tiled roof with brick
end stacks. Rectangular plan, main front faces south-east. Two storeys
and attic, three bays. Segmentally-headed 3-light iron casements, that above
the door having two lights, dentilled brick eaves cornice beneath small
dentilled pediment centrally placed enclosing thermal window, central late
C19 latticed porch. Full-width catslide early C19 extension to rear. The
farmhouse complements the nearby barn (qv), cider house (qv) and wainhouse
(qv) which together form a picturesque group. -
