Barn about 10 yards
north-north-east
of Aylhill

Barn. Probably C18. Timber-frame with brick infill and slate roof. Four
bays aligned roughly north/south. Two levels. West elevation has ledged
cart entry to second bay from the right, steel mid-C20 window to right,
ledged door to left bay and loft door to left of cart entry. Frame is
three panels high from cill to wall-plate. Interior has raking-struts
from ties to principals on each side of cart entry and elsewhere two
posts from ties to collars. (RCHM Vol II, p 157).
