4/152 Barn about 30 yards
north-west of Newtons

GV II

Barn. Possibly C15 with C18 extension. Sandstone rubble plinth, timber-
framed, weatherboarded with corrugated iron roof. Four bays with three pairs
of full crucks aligned roughly east/west. Ledged full-height doors to
threshing floor in second bay from east. Frame: side walls are two panels
high; west gable, without cruck, has V-struts from collar of truss. C19
lean-to on south side. (RCHM Vol II, p 157).
