7/265 Barn about 60 yards west of
Upper Buckenhill Farmhouse

Barn. Probably late C17 to early C18. Sandstone rubble plinth, timber-framed
with woven and weatherboarded infill; weatherboards, breeze block gable to
north, tiled roof. Three plus one bays aligned roughly north/south. West
elevation has full-height cart entry in second bay from left, exposed side
framing is three panels high from cill to wall-plate, woven infill in the
top row of panels and, unusually, recessed weatherboarding in many of the
other panels. Interior has high cills to threshing floor with braces from
entry posts, trusses either side of threshing floor have angle struts from
ties to principals, two posts from ties to collars which carry raking struts.
