Gates, gate piers, railings and piers to Canon Frome Court (qv). Dated 1905.
Wrought iron gates and railings, red brick piers with ashlar dressings. Central
pair of decorative semi-circular headed gates with radiating rails to upper part
flanked by piers with moulded sandstone bases and capping and plain central band,
horse's head finial to left pier and sitting dog finial to right, further flanked
by plain railings with scrolled upper edging and similar piers with large ball
finials. Inner piers inscribed J H S to left and 1905 to right. The gates, gate
piers and adjoining railings and piers form the western entrance to Canon Frome
Court (qv) provide a frame to the vista of the Court.
