6/73 Bell Tower


Detached bell tower. C13. Coursed sandstone rubble. Square tower with
entrance in north face situated in churchyard approximately 18 metres south
of chancel arch. Three stages, two string courses, upper weathering and
embattled parapet; single lancets light each face on first two stages, two
lancets to each face of bell stage, doorway in slight forward break; pointed
arched head of two chamfered orders, clock face to south in second stage; tall
central finial with weathervane.
