Farmhouse. Late C16 rear wing obscured to south by mid-C19 remodelling.
Timber-framed with painted brick infill, sandstone stack and plinth, red
brick C19 house with ashlar dressings, tiled roof. Single depth C19 house
with end stacks, central entrance facing south, rear wing extends to north
with large external lateral stack; hop kilns and hop store adjoin house to
west (not of special architectural interest). Two storeys, attics and cellars,
single storey and attic to rear wing; south front: two gables with single
lights in gables, two 2-light windows with hoodmoulds below central half-
glazed door. Timber-framed rear wing appears largely complete, three square
panels from sill to wall-plate with lozenge framing in north gable. Included
for the surviving C16 fabric.
