II

Converted barn. Possibly C16. Cruck-framed with timber-framed walls partly infilled with brick and partly weatherboarded. Steep tile roof. Wide doors towards centre of both long walls.

Interior: five bays. Crucks have short straight braces to raised tie-beams, blades which terminate above a collar, and spurs tying the bladesto wall-posts. The walls are framed in square panels which have wattle grooves and holes, suggesting that the original infill was of wattle-and-daub.
