House: C17 with earlier remains. Timber-framing and brick with tile roof.
T-plan. East wing of exposed framing in square panels on north and east
sides: Three C20 casement windows on ground floor and two on first floor.
Door to right of second window. Left-hand (east) gable wall has exposed
truss with tie-beam, collar, and vertical struts. East wall of north wing
has one window on the ground floor and two on first floor. North gable wall
covered by single-storey lean-to addition. Truss has vertical struts, tie-
beam, two collars, and V-struts above the upper collar. The right-hand (west)
wall of this wing is of brick to the right and has a timber-framed gable at the
left with a truss similar to that in the north gable. Chimney on ridge of north
wing near junction with east wing. Interior: internal wall of north wing con-
tains cruck truss with tie-beam and two collars, and a doorway with canted head.
Wing also contains brick inglenook with bressummer. Marked on Ordnance Survey
map as Hill Farm.
