11.8.52 75 metres north of
Severn End

Pigeoncote. 1677. Brick with tile roof. South wall has narrow door with
iron strap hinges. Above is a window with segmental head. Two timber cupolas
on ridge. Side walls each have a string course, and a window under the gable.
The diary of Sir Nicholas Lechmere records the building of a pigeon-house in
1677. (VCH, p 92).
