7/162 The Old Rectory

House. Probably late C18 with earlier C18 remains. Stone rubble with
some irregular brickwork around openings and with hipped tile roof. A
symmetrical composition of two storeys with attic and three bays. Windows
have architraves and are sashed with glazing bars. The doorway, in the
central bay, has a round head with fanlight and panelled reveals. The
doorcase has paterae and acanthus leaves above fluted pilasters, and an
open pediment. Two attic dormers: Chimneys at left and behind ridge
towards right. At the rear are two parallel wings with hipped roofs.
