west of Town House Farmhouse

Barn. C17. Timber-frame, weather boarding patched with corrugated iron, pantile
roof with stone slates at eaves. 4 framed bays with threshing floor west of
centre. Framing: 3 square panels high to wall-plate with internal tension braces;
originally infilled with woven panels. Intermediate trusses: 4 raking struts
with straight angle braces to tie-beam and central vertical post below. Gable
trusses of 6 intersecting raking struts, some of which are now lost. East bay
divided off by framed wall, with gable end door.
