2/30 2 chest tombs about
47 metres north of north
porch of Church of St Mary

GV II

Pair of chest tombs. About 1800. Ashlar. (1) Anna Maria Eves, died 1800.
Bold corner balusters, raised inscription panel flanked by husks and paterae,
moulded cornice, bevelled top. Inscription: "Sacred to the Memory of Anna
Maria/ the Wife of Francis Eves/ of Clifford Place Gent/ who died [ ... ]
April/ 1800 [ ... 2½ more lines partly illegible]". (2) Identical chest
tomb to north, inscriptions illegible. These are good examples of stone
masonry and enhance the setting of the church; they contribute to the group
value of the other memorials in the churchyard.
