Mill Cottage

II

House. c1600 with mid-C19 and late C20 alterations. Timber-frame with brick infill on rubble plinth and rubble, slate roof. Two framed bays aligned north/south, rubble stack to south end with spiral stair to east, former entrance (now blocked) to west, also lateral stack on west wall of north bay. West front: 2 storeys, lateral stack to left, one 2-light casement to first floor right; ground floor: 2-light casement to left, entrance to right with ledged door. Framing: close-studded to each floor; north gable: close-studded without collar. Interior: stopped and chamfered beams, ground floor originally one room, divided by mid-C19 brick wall.
