5/87 Newhouse Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Early C18 with mid-C19 and C20 alterations. Rubble with hipped
concrete tile roof. Plan 2 by 2 rooms, central stair hall; 2 corner stacks
to left wall, central stack to right wall, all with brick shafts. Two storeys
and attic lit by 3, C20 skylights. Three mid-C19 2-light casements under
flat arches; ground floor: two 3-light casements flanking entrance under
flat wooden canopy on wooden posts; 3-panelled door, upper 2 glazed.
Interior: 6-panelled doors; cupboards with raised and fielded panels to
doors in front left room; staircase mid-C19.
