II

Formerly house and barn, now house. Early C17 with late C20 alterations.
Two + two roof bays, possibly long house derivative, house to north-east
end, barn/cowhouse to south-west; gable-end stack to house with spiral
staircase on one side, gable entrance on other side. North-west front:
three C20 2-light casements to left, with French window to right of left
window; to the former barn a C20, 3-light casement. Interior: doorway
between house and former barn, possibly original; roof of house has
collars halved to principal rafters. Inglenook fireplace to ground floor,
and stud-and-plank partition between the 2 bays. (RCHM Vol I, p 47, no 6).
