Trenant Farmhouse

Barn and cowhouse. Late C17 with mid-C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-frame
on rubble plinth, weatherboarded originally, with woven infill, corrugated
iron roof. Five framed bays, 2-bay cowhouse to east end, 3-bay barn to west
with central threshing floor; framed wall between two parts. Three entries
to cowhouse in north wall. Framing: 2 and 3 square panels high; trusses:
intermediates: 2 raking struts; gables: 2 queen struts to collar, trenched
purlins, ridge. (RCHM 1, p 216, no 19).
