6/42 Tovey monument approximately
0.25 m from south wall of
nave of Church of St Giles

Chest tomb. Early C18. Ashlar. Moulded plinth and capping, semi-
circular shaped inscription panel with lower swag and flanked by drapery
drops to end panels to long sides, armorial cartouche to east end panel
and 2 round blank arches to west end panel. Commemorates Thomas Tovey
died 1708, inscription largely illegible.
