SO 52 SE GOODRICH CP GOODRICH COURT

Former main lodge to Goodrich Court (now demolished), probably by Edward
Blore, c1830, greatly altered C20. Coursed squared sandstone rubble with
ashlar dressings, hipped slate roof. Central block with depressed arch
carriageway (now blocked) and flanking single storey square blocks (formerly
with rounded turrets), central block with projecting canopied niches flanking
former carriageway, with coat of arms set in square panel above, original
central gabled dormer with single-pointed light flanked by similar C20
2-light dormers. Flanking blocks with castellated parapets, entry through
right block, left block slightly larger with tile-clad turret-like stack.
