Court

GV II

Animal shelter. Late C19. Coursed and squared sandstone rubble with ashlar
quoins, slate lean-to roof. Two-bay crenellated outbuilding presenting a
blank face to Langstone Court (qv) and sloping verges to each end and look-
ing rather like a squash court. Open to south side with two doorways and
wide rectangular ashlar pier. Short baffle wall also crenellated, angled

and may have been originally intended as a deer shelter; it now serves cattle.
