4/33 Hop kiln and adjoining
building about 20 yards
west-north-west of
- Upper Paradise Farmhouse

GV II

Hop kiln and adjoining building. Late C19 and C18 respectively. Hop kiln:
brick with truncated pyramidical slate roof, on square plan, diaper patterns
in brickwork to east, south and north. Adjoining building: probably c1724,
which was reputedly incised on removed beam. Timber-frame, brick infill,
corrugated iron roof. Two storeys, four bays attached to west side of hop
kiln. Two entries to north side: C18 ledged door to left and double open-
ing to right. Frame: three panels from cill to wall-plate. Interior:
interrupted tie-beam trusses, curved principals tied back to wall-plates.
