5/67 Double hop kiln about
5 yards east of
- The Buildings

GV II

Double hop kiln with attached store. Probably mid-C19. Red brick with
hipped slate roof capped by vented ridge; store built of random rubble
also with slate roof. Large paired kilns with two mechanical fans in
roof facing north and masking lean-to below; to south a gabled and weather-
boarded hoist-housing. The store room is lower and has to west a doorway
on each level; brick repairs to south gable. Part of a complete early to
mid-C19 hop farm group.
