SO 44 NE WELLINGTON CP BRIDGE LANE

Two cottages, now one house. Probably C17, roof raised probably in
early C19. Timber-frame, brick and plaster infill panels, slate roof,
stone chimney at south-east corner with detached C20 brick shaft set
to right of stone slated scullery lean-to. Three bays aligned east/west,
two storeys. North elevation: four windows, regularly spaced early C19
wrought iron 2-light casements to first floor, one 3-light C18 (?) casement
to ground floor centre bay has plank weatherings above, two porches with
stone slate roofs: the left one is a late C20 1ean-to with contemporary
ledged door; the right one is gabled, employs re-used C17 timbers and has
a late C19 ledged door. Frame: three panels high to former eaves level;
end truss of former roof exposed at east gable end with three struts to
collar and V-struts to apex; thin scantling.
