Cottage. Tablet on front wall: NORTON COTTAGE
ERECTED AD
1835 BY TM

Brick with slate roof and end stacks. Aligned north-west/south-east. Two
storeys, three windows. South-west elevation: Flemish bond brickwork, brick
dentilled eaves cornice, window heads have tumbled brick effect, regularly
spaced 3-light iron casements each of 21 panes; central entrance, 6-panelled
door beneath transom-light with rectilinear glazing bars, c1900 Gothic gabled
porch. North end has two blind windows. Lean-to attached to south-east is
linked to flanking walls of gardens.
