Farmhouse. C16, enlarged and altered C17, C20 alterations. Timber-framed
with sandstone plinth, part painted brick and part wattle-and-daub infill;
brick shafts to stacks, Welsh slate roofs. Irregular plan with earlier
wing to north extending from east to west; adjoining wing extends to south
with further addition extending to west. Lateral stack to earlier wing,
further later lateral stack to east front of south wing. C20 entrance
now to south of west wing. East front: two-storey gable end of earlier wing
to right, one 4-light C20 casement window. Single storey and attic to adjoin-
ing wing; 9-pane casement window in gabled dormer, 2-light casement window to
ground floor to right of lateral stack, narrow lean-to porch in angle with
wing. Framing: close-studding to east gable end of earlier wing, square
panelled framing to C17 alterations. (RCHM, Vol II, p 26).
