approximately 35 m
north of Hurstans
GV II
Hop kiln and stowage used as hop floor. C18 stowage, late C19 or early
C20 hop kiln. Sandstone rubble earlier section with double Roman tiles.
Brick kiln with slate roof. Rectangular plan aligned north/south with square
hop kiln at north end. Two storeys, two openings to west front and south
gable end, now open to lower floor. Hop kiln forms a group with the Barn
(qv approximately 35 m north-west of Hurstans), the Wain House (qv approximately
25 m north of Hurstans) and the Stables (qv approximately 20 m west of Hurstans)
