5/22 Rudge End Cottage

House. C18 with minor alterations. Timber-framed with wattle-and-daub
infill, sandstone plinth and stack, pantiled roof. Two framed bays
aligned east/west facing south with west gable end stack and bread oven,
further bay to east with lower roof level and weatherboard cladding. Two
storeys, two 2-light glazing bar casement windows and two similar windows
flank entrance with canopy and ledged door. Framing largely complete,
formerly three square panels from sill to wall-plate with added square
panel giving four to two bays of house. Included as complete and generally
unaltered example of late timber-framing.
