5/23 Upper Little Hope Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. C17, altered mid-C19. Timber-framed with part brick and
part wattle-and-daub infill, sandstone plinth, later brick refacing and
additions, slate roof. Former L-plan house obscured by further additions
to east, entrance in angle of L to west. Two storeys and basement;
west front, two 2-light glazing bar casement windows to left of lean-to
porch with ledged door, side wing to right with one 2-light casement window
and steps down to basement. Framing revealed to west front with three
square panels from sill to wall-plate to right and four square panels
(roof raised) to left.
