7/36 The Green Man Inn
Inn. C17, extensively remodelled early C19 and C20. Timber-framed core
with sandstone plinth and painted brick remodelling, part hipped tiled roof.
Irregular plan, former L-plan house facing north (to road) obscured by later
additions to south and west, now generally giving three parallel ranges
with further additions to south-west. Main central entrance and end stacks.
Two storeys and cellar, dentilled eaves cornice, three windows with C20 glazing
bar sashes, C20 canted windows flank entrance to ground floor, steps up to
doorway with canopy over and C20 ledged door. North front faced with C20
surface timbering. Interior retains exposed ceiling beams and open fireplace
to rear right.
