House. Late C16 core, remodelled and altered C18 and mid-C19, C20 additions.
Timber-framed with sandstone plinth and stacks, rendered infill, slate roof.
Irregular plan, formerly L-shaped with later additions, main elevation to
south, central entrance and two lateral stacks to east. Two storeys, cellar
and attic; south front, two glazing bar sash windows, gabled porch and part-
glazed door; 2-light stone mullioned windows flank doorway lighting cellar.
Framing largely complete to original house, five square panels from sill to
wall-plate. Interior retains fine staircase with square newels and splat
balusters with later turned balusters to top flight. C20 additions to west
not of special interest.
