Farmhouse. Late C16 or early C17. Timber-framed with painted brick and
wattle-and-daub infill, sandstone plinth, tiled roofs. Hall and cross-
wing with through-passage and main axial stack. Two storeys; 3-light
windows to gable end of cross-wing to left, two 2-light casement windows
to hall with one large 4-light window and small 2-light window to right of
C20 gabled porch with half-glazed door. Three diagonal-plan shafts to
axial stack. Framing, four square panels from sill to wall-plate with braces
in top panel from main posts to wall-plate, V-struts in gables; continuous
weatherings to horizontal members on north front. Interior inaccessible, but
likely to be of interest.
