5/130 Checkley Shop and
Post Office
House, now shop and post office. C18. Timber-framed with sandstone plinth
and stacks, wattle-and-daub infill, pantiled roof. Two framed bays aligned
north-east/south-west with further two bays adjoining to south-west with
slightly lower roof line, central entrance to both pairs of bays to rear
(south-east). Two storeys, four 2-light casement windows, ledged doors
to rear. Framing of light scantling, four square panels from sill to wall-
plate. A largely complete example of late timber-framing.
