Farmhouse, now house. Probably C17 with late C20 alterations. Sandstone
rubble plinth, timber-frame with plaster and brick infill, stone slate and
pantile roofs, brick stacks. T-plan with cross-wing at east end. Two storeys
and attics. North elevation has 3:2 windows mainly 3-light late C20 casements
to right and C18 and C19 casements to gable front to left, gabled porch to
right of centre of cross-wing; late C20 gabled porch to east road frontage.
Interior has large central stack in main east/west range; several ledged C17
or C18 doors, blocked triangular-headed doorway at ground floor at junction
of two ranges; plain collar trusses to main range, raking struts from ties
to principals in cross-wing except in gable ends. (RCHM, Vol I, p 163).
