4/37 Dunswater Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Probably C17, substantially remodelled in late C18. Timber-
frame, brick, tiled roofs and brick stacks. Main range is rectangular
and aligned roughly north-east/south-west with two small wings projecting
north-westwards. Two storeys. South-east elevation has four windows,
segmentally-headed 3-light casements, glazed door to left-hand side.
North-west elevation, has catslide roof and central projecting timber-framed
gable; framing is exposed to south side of northern wing. Interior noted
as having heavy oak ceiling beams.
