SO 43 SW THRUXTON CP -

6/82 Barn about 40 yards
north-east of
Thruxton Court

GV II

Barn. Possibly late C17 to C18. Sandstone rubble plinth, timber-frame,
weatherboards and concrete pantiled roof, half-hipped to north. Seven bays
aligned north/south. East elevation has ledged door beneath eaves to left
of centre and two cart entries, one to second bay from left and one to
second bay from right. Interior has angle struts from ties to principals
and side frames, three square panels high from cills to wall-plates.
Situated in a prominent position to the west of the Church of St Bartholomew
(qv). Included for group value.
