5/104 Penrose Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Possibly C16 with later additions. Sandstone rubble, timber-
framed with plaster infill, brick, Welsh slate roofs and two side stacks
with detached brick shafts. L-plan with C16 wing aligned north-west/south-
east and later-wing attached at south end extending south-westwards. Two
storeys. North-east elevation has gable front, with three casements each
of two lights, one in the gable top and the others to the ground floor,
flanked by stacks; to the right is exposed closely studded timber-framing.
Interior of north-east/south-west range has segmental door head and triple
angle strut trusses (RCHM Vol I, p 233).
