Farmhouse. Possibly C17, remodelled and extended in early C19.
Sandstone rubble, asbestos slate roof, external end stacks with detached
brick shafts and third brick ridge stack at point of extension.
Rectangular plan aligned roughly east/west with projecting part-circular
bread oven against eastern stack. Cellar and two storeys. South
elevation has four windows, casements with two, three and four lancet
lights under low segmental heads and hood moulds, main entrance to
left of centre in symmetrical part of elevation is a glazed early C20
door under contemporary gabled porch with hood mould matching those
above windows; the right, extended, part of the elevation has its
fenestration rather detached from the main composition with a low
entrance door and 3-light casement without lancets grouped under an
interrupted hood mould; above is a 3-light lancet casement to the first
floor.
