Barwood House
II


(Formerly listed under Hunderton Farmhouse, CLEHONGER)


Farmhouse. C18. Sandstone plinth, brick and timber-frame with Welsh slate
roof and brick external end stack. Rectangular plan aligned west-south-west/
east-north-east. Cellar, two storeys and attic. South elevation has three
windows, 2-light mid-C20 steel casements under cambered heads. Central glazed
late C20 porch. Plat band and dentilled brick eaves cornice. One storey
extension to right-hand side has one window and plat band. Rear elevation
of extension has exposed timber-frame with three square panels from cill to
wall-plate. Interior noted as having heavy ceiling beams.
