2/58 Stables about 20 yards
north of Cagebrook House
GV II
Stables. Probably early C18 with later additions and alterations. Brick
with hipped tiled roof. Rectangular plan with main front facing roughly
south. Two storeys. South elevation has blocked first floor windows
arranged 2:1:2 around an advanced pediment-gabled centre. Ground floor has
two glazing bar sashes, one to centre and one immediately to the left. Brick
plat band. Ledged door to right-hand side. Interior has three stalls with
cast iron columns. Trusses have queen struts from ties to collars. Included
for group value.
