Upper House
- II

House. Probably early C18. Timber-frame with brick and plaster infill.
Welsh slate roof. External end stacks with sandstone rubble bases and brick
shafts. Rectangular two-bay plan aligned north-east/south-west. One storey
and attic. North-west elevation has two windows to the ground floor. The
left is mid-C20 and has two lights each divided into four panes. To the right
is a mid-C19 casement with two lights. Gabled early C20 porch to left of
centre contains contemporary ledged door. Frame is three irregular panels
high from cill to wall-plate. (RCHM, Vol I, p 62).
