GV II*

House. Early C18, with later alterations. Brick with hipped Welsh slate
roof and brick stacks. Symmetrical plan aligned roughly north/south with
main front to east. Cellar and two storeys. East elevation has 2:3:2 windows,
glazing bar sashes with an advanced centre containing narrow sashes. Upper
sashes have 24 panes; lower 12 panes. Central doorcase with swan-neck pediment,
Corinthian pilasters, transom light and four-panelled door. Plain pilaster to
left and right corners of front. Deep eaves. Stacks have recessed round-head
panels. Attached to right-hand side is a two-storey one-window kitchen wing
with a segmentally-headed window to ground floor and a blocked opening above.
Left side has brick mounting block with three stone steps. Rear elevation
has corner pilasters with burnt headers. Interior noted as having three-flight
staircase with turned balusters. (BoE, p 143).
